Thursday, March 20th marks the arrival of the Spring Equinox – the first day of spring when day and night are equal. For our Persian families, this also kicks off the joyful 13-day New Year celebration called “Nowrouz.”
Nowrouz, which means “New Day” in Farsi, is a cherished holiday across the Middle East. Kids get an extended break, and many adults take time off to fully embrace this special season – much like Christmas and New Year’s in the West.
To all our Cleveland families, we wish you a very happy and prosperous Nowrouz!
Happy Spring and Nowrouz Mobarak!
