There are a variety of fantastic programs the CPAC organizes for the Cleveland families, for students and parents, from learning to lunches to lunges. Take a look at some of the things happening at Cleveland, and be sure to check back as there’s always something new in the pipeline.

Sportball | Multisport (Grades K-3; 5-9 year olds)

  • When: Thursdays 2:50-3:50
  • Dates: April 25, 2024 – June 13, 2024
  • Location: Cleveland Small Gym
  • Cost: $144 plus GST

Sportball’s Multi-Sport classes focus on the basic skills common to all sports, like balance, coordination, and timing in a fun, supportive, non-competitive environment. Each class focuses on one of eight different sports: hockey, soccer, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf and tennis.

Jr. Skills Basketball - Gr. 2-4

  • When: Fridays 3:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Dates: 10 Classes from April 5 to June 14 (No class May 3)
  • Location: Cleveland Big Gym
  • Cost: $160+GST

North Shore Basketball Academy Coaches will teach the essential skills and concepts required to have a solid foundation in the game of basketball. Sessions will progressively take participants through a series of fun drills and games that work on fundamentals like dribbling, passing and shooting along with daily games and competitions. Throughout the program, participants will learn about core life-skills like positivity, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, respect, health and fitness. Each participant receives an NSBA T-Shirt.

Artmania: Cleveland Claymation : Monster Mash Music Videos (K-7)

  • When: Wednesdays 2:50 – 4:50 pm
  • Dates: April 10 – Jun 12
  • Location: Cleveland Library
  • Cost: $400, includes gst

Students will gain ideas for their own animated music video by watching a selection of animated videos for inspiration.  Join us to create a fun sculptural stop motion video to show to your family and friends.  10 Classes to create and have fun with your friends!

Artmania: 3D Drawing Animals and Watercolour Plein Air (K-7)

  • When: Fridays 2:50 – 4:50pm
  • Dates: April 19 – June 21, no class May 3rd
  • Location: Cleveland Library
  • Cost:  $360

Master your animal-drawing skills in a class that also teaches you painting techniques too. You’ll leave this course with a sketchbook full of skills, framed paintings and a confidence to master drawing any animal. Weather permitting students will venture outdoors to sketch and paint too!

Tigers Eye|Karate for FUN/Self Defence (K - 3)

  • When: Fridays 2:50pm- 3:50pm
  • Dates:  Starting April/12th to June/21st (Please note: May/3rd No class Pro-D day)
  • Location: Multipurpose room
  • Cost: $230+gst and cost of uniform

Description: Tiger’s Eye Karate-do Certified black belt instructor will help children and young youth to develop a solid Foundation for self-discipline, focus, responsibility, respect, while increasing their strength, flexibility, coordination, control, balance and having FUN. Students will learn a variety of martial arts moves such as strikes, punches and blocks to the target. Our goal for every student is to make them the best that they can be and reach their full potential by goal setting, taking responsibility, confidence and self-esteem.

Note: New students are required to purchase Tiger’s eye Karate uniform as it is mandatory to all students to attend classes with karate uniform on and it is NOT included in the registration fee. Please contact 604-616-5209 or email tigerseyekaratedo@gmail.com to order one!

Farsi Afterschool Program - فارسی در مدرسه (gr 1-3) (gr 4-7)

  • When: Tuesday 3:00 – 4:45pm (will be earlier on early dismissal days)
  • Dates: April 2 – June 18.
  • Location: Cleveland Classroom 135
  • Cost :$225+ GST
The Farsi afterschool program program is aligned with the official Farsi curriculum of British Columbia, emphasizing core skills like reading and writing. What sets us apart is our commitment to making learning enjoyable. Through arts, music, and hands-on crafts, we create an interactive and engaging environment where students can have fun while mastering Farsi. Join us to provide your child with a vibrant and enriching educational experience in our Farsi After School Program.

LIGHTS UP MUSICAL THEATRE AFTERSCHOOL AT CLEVELAND ELEMENTARY (All Grades)

  • When: Monday 2:50 – 5:00pm
  • DATES: April 8 – June 10 (no class May 20)
  • Location: Small Gym
  • COST: $345 + GST ($362.25)

Experience the joys and benefits of musical theatre by taking part in our afterschool programs
led by our talented and experienced Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools staff. Sing, Dance, Act,
Shine! This Spring we will be putting on a musical version of the “The Lorax,” inspired by the
popular movie ( and of course the book), created for our afterschool students! Performance for
parents on last day of classes.
