There are a variety of fantastic programs the CPAC organizes for the Cleveland families, for students and parents, from learning to lunches to lunges. Take a look at some of the things happening at Cleveland, and be sure to check back as there’s always something new in the pipeline.

Sportball | Multisport (Grades K-3)

  • When: Thursdays 2:50-3:50
  • Dates:January 25 – March 14 (8 weeks)
  • Location: Cleveland Small Gym
  • Cost: $180 +GST

Sportball’s Multi-Sport classes focus on the basic skills common to all sports, like balance, coordination, and timing in a fun, supportive, non-competitive environment. Each class focuses on one of eight different sports: hockey, soccer, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf and tennis.

Jr. Skills Basketball - Gr. 2-4

  • When: Fridays 3:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Dates:  January 12 – March 15 – 9 Classes (No class Feb 16)
  • Location: Cleveland Big Gym
  • Cost: $145+GST T-Shirt included 

North Shore Basketball Academy Coaches will teach participants skills and concepts required to have a solid foundation in the game of basketball. Sessions will progressively take participants through a series of fun drills and games that work on fundamentals like dribbling, passing and shooting along with daily games and competitions. Throughout the program, participants will learn about core life-skills like positivity, sportsmanship and teamwork. Each participant receives an NSBA T-Shirt.

Artmania: Comics and Game Design on Wednesdays Grades 3 – 7

  • When: Wednesdays 2:50 – 4:50 pm
  • Dates: January 17 – March 6,
  • Location: Cleveland Library
  • Cost: $336, includes gst

In this course you will learn from the work of famous concept artists, illustrators, and designers about techniques for creating memorable characters and stories. Before we ever had video games, board games reigned supreme for immersing us in fantasy worlds. Create your own board game complete with resin game pieces! The sky is the limit when it comes to games, so it’s the perfect outlet for creative kids!

Artmania: Architecture and 3D, Grades 1 – 7

  • When: Fridays 2:50 – 4:50pm
  • Dates: January 19 – March 15, No class Feb 16th,
  • Location: Cleveland Library
  • Cost:  $336, includes gst (8 classes )

Explore the building blocks of our world, such as skyscrapers, stadiums, houses, and public spaces. Students learn about architecture through art history, observation, drawing, and model making. Have fun learning easy methods of how to make your designs pop off the page.

Tigers Eye|Karate for FUN/Self Defence (K - 3)

  • When: Fridays 2:50pm- 3:50pm
  • Dates: January 12th to March 15th (Please note: February/16th No class Pro-D day)
  • Location: Multipurpose room
  • Cost: $220+ Cost of Uniform (11 sessions)

Tiger’s Eye Karate-do Certified black belt instructor will help children and young youth to develop a solid Foundation for self-discipline, focus, responsibility, respect, while increasing their strength, flexibility, coordination, control, balance and having FUN. Students will learn a variety of martial arts moves such as strikes, punches and blocks to the target. Our goal for every student is to make them the best that they can be and reach their full potential by goal setting, taking responsibility, confidence and self-esteem.

Note: New students are required to purchase Tiger’s eye Karate uniform as it is mandatory to all students to attend classes with karate uniform on and it is NOT included in the registration fee. Please contact 604-616-5209 or email tigerseyekaratedo@gmail.com to order one.

BrainSTEM Learning: Winter-Little Brains-Robotics Engineering (K-1) (10 weeks)

  • When: Tuesdays 2:50 – 3:50pm
  • Dates: Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb 6, 13, 20, 27, Mar. 3,
    12
  • Location: Cleveland Library
  • Cost: $353.80 + 5% GST or $35.38+5% GST/1 hr for 10 sessions
  • The little brains will discover what is behind a robot, the design possibilities, the
    materials, mechanical simple machines used to build, what software is, and the
    programming languages used to create the robot instructions. Under the STEM Education
    programs, the leadership of our instructors and assistants, students use the LEGO®
    WeDo 2.0 hardware and GUI programming languages on computers to build their robotic
    animals, machines, and toys. They will code the algorithms to make their robots function
    and innovate by improving their programs or physical robot design.

LIGHTS UP MUSICAL THEATRE AFTERSCHOOL AT CLEVELAND ELEMENTARY (All Grades)

  • When: Monday 2:50 – 5:00pm
  • Dates: Jan 15 – Mar 11
  • Location: Small Gym
  • Cost: $307* (*plus GST)

Sing Dance Act Shine! At Lights Up Afterschool, your child can experience the joys and benefits
of musical theatre by taking part in our afterschool programs led by our talented and
experienced Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools staff. These classes are a unique introduction to
our weekend musical theatre programs and provide students with an enriching, rewarding, and

most of all, fun afterschool activity right at the bell!

WINTER SHOW! TOY STORY

This Winter, we will be putting on a musical version of “Toy Story,” created for our afterschool students!

Students are supervised from the bell. No need to pick up your child until 5pm! Performance for parents on the last day of classes!

Farsi Afterschool Program - فارسی در مدرسه (gr 1-3) (gr 4-7)

  • When: Tuesday 3:00 – 4:45pm (will be earlier on early dismissal days)

The Farsi afterschool program program is aligned with the official Farsi curriculum of British Columbia, emphasizing core skills like reading and writing. What sets us apart is our commitment to making learning enjoyable. Through arts, music, and hands-on crafts, we create an interactive and engaging environment where students can have fun while mastering Farsi. Join us to provide your child with a vibrant and enriching educational experience in our Farsi After School Program.
