The 39th annual Terry Fox Run is coming up! On the afternoon of Thursday, September 26th our students and staff will join schools across the country as we run to remember Terry Fox’s legacy and raise money for cancer research.
This fabulous event needs a lot of parent volunteers to keep our kids safe along the route, motivated to move and it's fun for! The kids start running at 1:45 so please arrive by 1:15 to give yourself enough time to check in, meet your co-conspirators in cheering and get to your station before the kids do.
The number of volunteers here are the minimum we need for the course- we can always use more cheering, noise-making and "way to go!" Historically, we have needed more volunteers for the intermediate course (it's longer so needs twice as many), so if your kids are in intermediate grades, please volunteer there first. The route your kids are on has a full slate of volunteers, don't despair you are still needed, just sign up for another route or message us and we'll find a place for you.
If you would like to be in a specific place because you have two kids on two courses -say you want to be on the primary course by the kindy course or be in a place where both intermediate and primary overlap, we can do that! Please message Jennifer Leask or Tara King through Fresh Schools.
This is a super-fun event and scheduled just in time for late September sun (fingers crossed).
