In celebration of EARTH WEEK, our kids are going to TAKE BACK the street! TOMORROW the area in front of the school will be closed to cars. We are holding a giant street party! In the area that is usually clogged with cars we will have a DJ, basketball hoops, skipping ropes and sidewalk chalk! Things will kick off at 8:15.

All families are encouraged to WALK or WHEEL to school. If you live too far away then please do a ‘drive to 5’ and park at ELDON park. There will be a walking parade leaving from Eldon at 8h15. The class with the highest participation of walking and wheeling will receive a prize!

And here’s a fact to motivate you to use your car less:

Car engines release poisonous gases that pollute the air, especially the extremely harmful greenhouse gas called carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide can cause people to get really sick. In fact, 80% of lung diseases are a result of car pollution. Car pollution is also one of the main contributors of global warming.

So tomorrow, in celebration of our precious earth, let’s all WALK and WHEEL to Cleveland! COME EARLY AND ENJOY THE CELEBRATIONS in front of the school!
