The 37th annual Terry Fox Run is coming up on Friday September 29th, and we are short on volunteers, especially on the intermediate route.  The long-range weather forecast looks sunny – and there’s no better way to spend it than watching our students participate in this iconic event that supports such a worthy cause.

We need more course marshals to make this a safe and fun event. Please help cheer on these kids and keep them safe from traffic concerns. I assure you ALL the students would appreciate the support and awesome smiling faces along the way!

If you can help encourage and direct students along the routes, please email Tara King at bentallking@yahoo.ca and indicate your preference of the Primary or Intermediate route.

As a school, warm up begins at 1:15 in the Lowers with the run starting at 1:30.  Volunteers will need to arrive at 12:30 to be in place for the start of the run.

Cleveland will be raising money for the Terry Fox Foundation with a “Toonies for Terry” campaign.  Each student is encourage to drop a toonie into the large bottle located in the office. Families who wish to donate money to the Terry Fox Foundation can do so online at www.terryfox.ca/ClevelandElementary

Last year Cleveland raised $5668.70 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Let’s try to make it even bigger this year!
